Built on the Cadence® Virtuoso® platform, an integrated electronic-photonic design automation (EPDA) environment has been developed. In this presentation, we will focus on the co-simulation of electronic and photonic circuits and demonstrate a quadrature phase-shift keying (QPSK) transceiver example. According to Satrax, a company based in Twente, the Netherlands, light is the answer to the increasing demand for higher data frequencies and bandwidths.
