Prototyping of photonic ASICs is easier than ever before. The value chain for development of photonic chips from application idea through simulation, design using advanced PDK tools, till fabrication and packaging is entirely enabled by JePPIX (Joint European Platform for Photonic Integration Components and Circuits). Thanks to applied generic integration model, separation of application development from technology aspects is possible, and thus acceleration of novel photonic ASICs development is facilitated. JePPIX provides access to indium phosphide (InP) platforms and TriPleX dielectric technology via Multi-Project Wafer runs.
About Katarzyna Ławniczuk
Katarzyna Ławniczuk was awarded a joint Ph.D. degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, and Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, in 2014. Her research focused on Indium Phosphide-based multiwavelength lasers and photonic integrated transmitters. Katarzyna has been the coordinator of JePPIX at Eindhoven University of Technology since 2013.
